From Manhattan we try a very interesting HDMI switch, which has 4 inputs and one HDMI output and allows full viewing control on one screen, by selecting mode via keys or remote control
With Manhattan's IDATA HDMI-41MVMH, you can share 4 HDMI sources on one screen in a variety of ways or one at a time, resulting in an impressive mosaic for any type of professional or home application. Among other things, this HDMI switch can be used in conferences and digital signage or even security applications.
This particular HDMI multiviewer switch supports 480i / 480p / 576i / 576p / 720p / 1080i / 1080p input resolutions, while it provides 1080p or 720p optional output. Regarding the image, we also have HD 3D Video and Deep Color support 36 bit / pixel, while Video amplifier is also integrated.
In terms of sound, we have support for LPCM, DTS Digital, DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD audio with separate Stereo outputs (3.5 mm), Coaxial S / PDIF and Toshlink optics for corresponding amplifiers, in order to improve audio performance.
Also, according to the technical specifications, HDMI sources can be located up to 15m from the switch, as well as the switch from the screen.
HDMI 1.3 inputs can be powered by devices such as playStation / Xbox, Blu-ray players, terrestrial and satellite digital receivers, and more, and are clearly compatible with HDCP (1.4a).

The multiviewer HDMI switch from Manhattan, is located in a boat measuring 213 x 100 x 25 mm and weighs 0.6130 Kg, resulting in an elegant appearance and a fairly solid construction, in order to be placed anywhere with confidence.
On the front we see from the left the general power switch, an LED for power supply, 4 LED for signal signal for each HDMI input, infrared sensor, a USB Service port, 3 keys for selecting display functions, a button for master selection audio and finally a button to select between 1080p or 720p output resolutions.
The connections on the back include the 4 HDMI inputs, the HDMI output, the 3 Stereo / Coaxial / Toslink audio outputs and finally the socket for the supplied 12 V. power supply.
The function of the switch is plug-and-play, as it does not need any kind of installation or settings, except of course the connection of sources and the master screen.
The way to display the 4 HDMI sources on the master screen is controlled with the Mode 1, Mode 2 and Mode 3 keys, while you can see all the images in the video above.
With the Mode 2 key, we have one full screen source with each click, while with the Audio key we activate or deactivate the sound.
With the Mode 1 key, we have one layout at a time with 4 or 2 channels, with the most impressive being the layout of 4 channels with equal dimensions. In these cases, with the Audio button we select which sound will be heard.
With the Mode 3 button, we have another type of 4-channel layout, with a central one occupying most of the screen and 3 vertically with smaller dimensions. Again with the Audio key, select which sound will be heard.
During the tests, we connected 4 HDMI sources from satellite receivers, including CosmoteTV, and selected 3 720p, 1080p and 1080i resolutions to test the switching response. In all cases we did not have any problems, as with the sound via HDMI.
Please note that with the 720P / 1080P key we select the final resolution to be provided on the master screen, regardless of the input resolution. This means that if a source provides 720p resolution, the resolution in the HDMI output will be the one we have selected with that key, i.e. 720p or 1080p.
Manhattan's HDMI multiviewer switch comes with a standard remote control, which provides the functions we mentioned with some additions. Specifically, the keys for the sound are 4 and correspond to each HDMI input, while at the bottom you will find 4 keys for the duration of automatic image switching every 1.3.5 and 7 seconds. Automatic image switching is an interesting feature for successive image display.
Manhattan 4 port 1080p HDMI Multiviewer Switch - as the tests showed - is an excellent HDMI switch with slideshow automation, the ability to display 4 HDMI sources simultaneously on a screen with a variety of devices, 3 types of audio outputs for amplifier and of course remote control.
