Techly IDATA SPDIF-5 is a video audio converter used for converting analog (stereo) and video (composite or S-VIDEO) to digital HDMI signal. Ideal in situations where the unit only has an analog or S-VIDEO AV output (e.g. VCR, old camcorder models, etc.) and you want to connect it to a monitor (projector, TV) with no analog inputs (certain models have only HDMI or DVI digital inputs). IDATA SPDIF-5, in addition to RCA and S-VIDEO inputs, also supports HDMI input. In this way it allows the viewing of videos in HDTV.

How it works?

Use a HDMI cable, S-Video cable, or RCA cable to connect the video audio source to the input. Then use an HDMI cable to connect the TV.
